Thanks for the info on wlanapi.dll Your fix did the job. Not a big issue, just annoying on start up.

I don’t have either of the files i am supposed to put the dll file in.
Mine are:
ANI\ANIO Service
ANI\ANIWZCS2 Service
D-Link\Wireless G WUA-1340

Any other ideas?

thanks a million and for people like you, think you should charge Mr. Bill Gates for fixing his errors!!!\vista must have cost the world millions let alone all the blue screens, and they seem to be back and build into win7, with wasted time world wide. it is a disaster..

this is for 100% not connected to d-link issue – if the tip wouldnt work in worst case u would still not have internet.

i assume while ‘trying to fix’ before finding my site u must have changed some setups [maybe turned off firewall or windows updates] and now when u got internet back something other failed.

try uninstalling All-in-One PC Tune-Up and fixing what it did

I’m afraid I may have been overzealous in my praise. Today when I log onto mt computer none of my start icons or tool bar show – no task are running, and nothing happens when I right click on the desktop.

What do you think happened?

This was information to eliminate the error message was absolutely spot on. I wasted money on All-in-One PC Tune-Up – fortunately I got a huge rebate. I’ve put in at least twelve hours trying different fixes with no success. I’d buy you a beer but the PayPal was in a foreign language that I couldn’t be comfortable using.
